About:

Theogenesis is a freeform role playing game played on www.rpol.net. It has been around for quite some time. The game is a ruled freeform type of game. There are no dice rolling involved, as everything is decided by the decisions of the GM's with consideration of the players actions, strengths, and weaknesses.

Startup- October of 2005

Ping- March of 2009- still alive... So hey, It's 3 years old now!

History:

Theogenesis' original founder was by GM name "Master Divine", or Nat for his real name. He made the first game simply called "Theogenesis". After a while though he became scarce in his posts, causing the players to start there own game. This is when the GM "Overseer" came through. He made an overhaul on the rules and style of the game making it more balanced and fun. He ran the next game called "Theogenesis 2.0". This game went on under head GM Overseer for some time, until his computer broke and he went missing for about 2 months. The GM Destroyer took up the game where it was left off. Without knowing what Overseer was planning, he knew it would only be temporary. He started a new game called Theogenesis: The Continuation, so he could have full thread control. He then went by The Regent. When Overseer eventually came back he announced after a time that he would not be playing or GMing anymore. The Regent knew he didn't want to run the same game because of all the limits that it had. So the game was started over yet again in Theogenesis: Resurrection. He took up two new GM's to help him tweak the rules and style for more balanced and realistic play, The Creator and The Adjudicator, and he changed his name to The Overgod. Eventualy The Adjudicator went missing so The Seer, a long time player and former GM from earlier versions, was asked to join the GM's. After a long haul of playing and GMing, The Overgod eventualy said his goodbyes and left the game in the hands of The Creator and The Seer. Unfortuanly The Creator didn't like running the game under The Overgod's new rules so he made a new game, Theogenesis: The Beginning. Seer didn't want to run the game alone, so it died. A new GM, The Oracle, is helping run the current Theogenesis (Rebirth), as well as The Fool, and The Deceiver.

Theogenesis: Original Theo Game

Theogenesis 2.0: Better Theo made by Overseer.

Theogenesis: Alternate Ending- a quick 1 quest theo made by a player because he didn't like the Theo 1 ending.

Theogenesis: 3.0- Anik wanted to experiment with GMing so he changed some rules and styles and tried them... and failed.

Theogenesis: 3.0 (again)- Run by Metatron and Xellos, they kept the same rules as 2.0, keeping them all. Metatron dissapeared again so the game is no longer running.

Theogenesis: Continuation- Xeran started this after Overseer went AWOL to have thread control.

Theogenesis: Ressurection- This Game had new Rules made by Xeran, it went for a while, but after Xeran left the game died pretty quickly.

Theogenesis: Magic School- Made by Foun as a little side game, but it died after a long absence of his.

Theogenesis: The Beginning- Anik brought back many of the Rules from 2.0 to make this Theo which take place at the dawn of gods comming into existence.

Theogenesis- Recreation of the original game by Master Divine, started december 22, 2007.

Theogenesis: age of the Titans- Another recreation by Anik that did not last very long.

Theogenesis: the Continuance- recreation by Xeran started in 2006, that is now Theogenesis Chat, used as a chat forum for some of Theo's members.

Theogenesis: Rebirth- Most currently active Theo being run by Anik.

Though not technically Theogenesis, two other games have been created based upon Theo rules, Run by Foun:
